Description

“Starwheel: Maps, Metaphors and Cairns for the Journey” is a 16-color epoxy terrazzo mosaic floor design for the north end of the Humphrey Terminal (Terminal 2 / Checkpoint 1) at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.  It was part of an unusually complex larger project with 5 color Epoxy Terrazzo and poured in place treads and risers. The terrazzo mosaic was a publicly funded project that demonstrates the potential of terrazzo as an artistic medium.  It was commissioned by The Airport Foundation MSP. This art project was designed, sampled, and completed in 60 calendar days, a feat nothing short of amazing.“It was an honor to be part of this beautiful work of art that so many people get to experience as part of their journey,” said Greg Grazzini, President of Grazzini Brothers.
